What we did
The first edition of Cosmia Festival took place in Huddersfield in the Autumn of 2019
What happened?
The Festival featured 18 events and two exhibitions across nine days, in venues across Huddersfield and the surrounding area. With author talks, film screenings, workshops and even a quiz, there was something for everyone.
The theme of the festival was Utopias and Dystopias.
How many people came?
There were around 300 attendees across the festival, not including visitors to the two exhibitions - The Persistence of Utopia and Visions of Better Worlds
What did people say?
Brilliant, inspiring in ways few events are due to really imaging utopias and applying to real world
